Shiv Sena Gains Strength in Palghar Amid Local Civic Body Elections

In a significant political maneuver, the ruling Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, led by Eknath Shinde, experienced a major boost as several members from the women's wing of a rival faction in Palghar district joined their ranks. The development comes ahead of crucial local civic body elections, indicating a shift in local political dynamics.

The induction ceremony took place at Anand Ashram in Thane city, attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shinde. Notable figures from the Palghar and Dahanu regions, including Neelam Mhatre and Manisha Pimple, publicly aligned with the ruling party, showcasing a growing trust in Shiv Sena's leadership and past achievements.

Addressing the gathering, Shinde emphasized the party's commitment to regional development, announcing an extension of the coastal road for better connectivity. He urged party workers to energetically prepare for the upcoming elections, which the state's government and Election Commission are mandated to conduct by early 2026.
