Following the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, President Donald Trump is intensifying actions against left-wing groups, targeting antifa as a terrorist organization. Trump's declaration came despite legal experts questioning its enforceability and potential implications on free speech.

On Wednesday, Trump announced via Truth Social his intent to designate antifa as a terrorist group, recommending thorough investigations into those financing the movement. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, has not been linked to any external organizations, leaving his motives uncertain.

As the Trump administration prepares an executive order on political violence, Vice President JD Vance cited left-wing radicalization as responsible for the hostile environment against conservatives. Critics, however, argue this is a pretext to target political opponents.
