In a decisive move, the Election Commission of India has launched a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across the nation. This initiative has been positively received by Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva, who accuses the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress of manipulating voter lists through the infiltration of unauthorized individuals.
Preparations for the SIR are in full swing in Delhi, with the Chief Electoral Officer's office taking charge of the extensive task. To ensure public convenience, the 2002 voter list and current Assembly Constituencies have been made available on the CEO Delhi's website as part of the revision process.
Booth Level Officers have been assigned in all Assembly Constituencies, with comprehensive training provided to district, electoral, and assistant officers. This nationwide revision follows a recent conference of Chief Electoral Officers to assess readiness, presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
