The CPI(M) is poised to spotlight the pressing issue of unemployment during the forthcoming two-day session of the Tripura Assembly, starting Friday. This move was confirmed by the party leaders on Thursday.
A delegation from the Democratic Youth Federation of India, bearing the torch for the Left party's youth, initiated a meet with Leader of Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury. They urged him to champion the cause on the Assembly floor.
Post-meeting, Nabarun Deb highlighted that the Left Front government had previously conducted interviews for 15,000 positions across various departments in 2016-17. This process was halted, Deb alleged, by the BJP administration, which annulled these interviews in favor of a new hiring policy.
