Kerala's Resilience Amidst Central Neglect: A Development Saga

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has accused the Indian Central government of adopting a neglectful and almost 'revengeful' stance towards Kerala. Speaking at the inaugural event of a month-long Development Summit held across all local bodies in the state, Vijayan highlighted the challenges of non-cooperation faced by the state.

Vijayan emphasized the crucial role of cooperative federalism in India, criticizing local bodies for bowing to political pressures against organizing the summit. He argued that the event is essential for promoting development opportunities through public consultation and affirmed the state government's unbiased support to local bodies.

Highlighting Kerala's achievements, Vijayan noted the progress in infrastructure projects like National Highways, the GAIL pipeline, and tourism-enhancing waterways. He also lauded the state's health and education sectors, which have dramatically improved, encouraging unified efforts to achieve further advancements in agriculture, industry, and IT.
