Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan underscored the difference between large crowds at political rallies and actual votes during his address to reporters in Chennai. He emphasized that this reality is a universal truth, impacting all political leaders, including Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay.
Clarifying his stance, Haasan stated that his observation was applicable to all politicians and not directed solely at actor-politician Vijay. He highlighted that while crowds can be attracted, this does not guarantee electoral support, urging leaders to focus on substantial groundwork.
Haasan advised the TVK chief and other leaders to proceed courageously and benefit the people, stressing that criticism is an inherent part of public life. His remarks come in the wake of scrutiny from parties like the DMK, questioning the electoral impact of Vijay's rallies. Haasan's insights draw from his own political experiences since 2018.
