V D Satheesan, the Leader of Opposition in Kerala's assembly, has leveled serious allegations against the ruling CPI (M), accusing it of forging an 'unholy alliance' with the BJP. Citing an instance from the Global Ayyappa Sangamam, where a message from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was read, Satheesan claims this partnership undermines faith in the state's governance.

The recent Sangamam, held in Pampa, has become a point of contention with Satheesan criticizing Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of showcasing 'pseudo devotion.' This, according to the Congress leader, is an attempt to atone for past controversial decisions regarding the Sabarimala Temple's admission policy.

Satheesan further questioned the state government's rationale behind organizing the event, casting doubt on their development claims. He hinted at ulterior motives tied to upcoming elections, disapproving of the government's alleged efforts to discuss Sabarimala's master plan in its final term year without visible progress over the past nine years.
