BJP Tamil Nadu Chief Nainar Nagenthran has voiced strong criticism against the ruling DMK government, highlighting a rise in criminal activities in the state. He pointed to a National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report, which he says discredits the administration's social justice claims.
Nagenthran ridiculed the DMK's outreach campaign, 'Oraniyil Tamil Nadu', sarcastically using the NCRB statistics to refute the state's portrayal of current crime trends. According to him, the report paints a worrying picture of crime levels in Tamil Nadu.
He expressed concern over a 15% rise in crimes against children since the DMK's tenure began, along with a significant 39% increase in crimes against Scheduled Castes. His remarks suggest that Tamil Nadu's crime situation under DMK governance is far from ideal.
