Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray launched a scathing attack on the BJP during his Dussehra rally, condemning the arrest of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk as indicative of growing intolerance towards justice seekers in India. Thackeray likened the BJP to an amoeba, criticizing its opportunistic alliances and governance approach.

Thackeray called for solidarity among Marathi people, referencing the alliance with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and underscoring the threat to the Marathi language. He voiced strong opposition to the Maharashtra Special Public Security Act and condemned the arrest of Wangchuk under the National Security Act following the recent violence in Ladakh.

Further, Thackeray accused the BJP of political hypocrisy, highlighting its divisive strategies and unmet promises to flood-affected farmers in Maharashtra. He vowed to expose corruption within the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation if his party wins the upcoming civic polls, challenging the BJP's alleged mismanagement and hindutva credentials.
