The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has levied serious accusations against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and its chief, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The allegations come in the wake of an attack on BJP leaders in the Jalpaiguri district, which the party is decrying as politically motivated violence.

BJP MP Khagen Murmu, alongside MLA Sankar Ghosh, faced aggression from locals during their visit to the flood-hit Nagrakata area. Ghosh later shared footage showing a bloodied Murmu, suggesting that the incident was instigated by TMC supporters.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi condemned the attack, terming it a calculated move by the ruling party. Trivedi also accused Banerjee of neglect, highlighting her participation in festivities despite the state's flood crisis, and suggested that the incident reflected TMC's fear of losing in next year's state elections.
