Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha has actively participated in a protest held by Group 1 candidates at Hyderabad's prominent Martyrs' Statue in front of the Assembly. She alleged systematic violations in the procedure for conducting the Public Service Examinations, criticizing the state government for its opacity throughout the process.
Kavitha pointed out that thousands of students have taken to the streets with unanswered queries, highlighting the Congress government's inadequate response to the concerns of Telangana students. Accusing the Revanth Reddy-led cabinet of failing to ensure fair examinations, she also decried a distressing incident involving a shoe being hurled at Chief Justice of India BR Gavai, describing it as an 'unfortunate development'.
While praising Chief Justice Gavai's composed response, Kavitha remarked that it reflects the enduring strength of India's judicial foundation. She further criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for allegedly disrespecting a Dalit Minister, underscoring the continued marginalization of Dalits in the state. Protests are ongoing as demonstrators express their dissatisfaction with the current administration's conduct.
