Rising Tensions: Bihar's Seat-Sharing Dilemma
  • Country:
  • India

As the Bihar Assembly elections loom, seat-sharing disagreements are creating ripples within the ruling NDA alliance. While Union Minister Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has convened an emergency meeting for strategy finalization, Chirag dismissed rumors of discord, asserting that issues within the NDA would soon be resolved.

The elections, scheduled for November 6 and 11, have heightened political maneuvers, with Jan Suraaj's Prashant Kishor firmly denying any alliance with Paswan's party. Accusations of political motives and seat profits paint a vivid picture of Bihar's current political landscape amidst reports of factional alliances.

Speculations further stirred when Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi of Hindustani Awam Morcha expressed frustration over allocations, seeking at least 15 seats to contest effectively. Despite internal bickering, BJP officials have stated that the resolution will reflect positively on the NDA's unity when instigating seat-sharing decisions.
