U.S. Pushes for Ceasefire Extension in Middle East

Efforts to extend a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon are being spearheaded by the United States, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri revealed on Monday.

Berri's remarks were conveyed to Asharq al-Awsat following a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa.
