Diplomatic Bridge: Pakistan Mediates US-Iran Tensions

Pakistan has accelerated its diplomatic efforts to mediate between the United States and Iran, following an indefinite extension of the ceasefire by President Donald Trump. The ceasefire extension was made at the behest of Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir.

In light of the truce, Prime Minister Shehbaz met with Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam and discussed regional peace efforts. The call for a diplomatic resolution echoed in meetings with other international representatives, affirming Pakistan's role in facilitating dialogue between Washington and Tehran.

The diplomatic flurry comes after initial talks between the US and Iran failed to yield a breakthrough. With Islamabad taking center stage in these negotiations, heightened security measures are in place, showcasing Pakistan's pivotal stance as a mediator.
