In a fresh diplomatic standoff, Pakistan has slammed India for accusing it of involvement in the Pahalgam terror attack, calling the allegations unfounded. The attack saw 26 lives lost due to gunfire from the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Following the incident, India launched Operation Sindoor to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, leading to a brief skirmish between the two nations. Despite the tensions, Pakistan claims to be working towards regional peace with its international allies.
The Foreign Office in Islamabad has criticized India for what it sees as an attempt to garner domestic political support by linking Pakistan to the attack. As India commemorates the attack's first anniversary, its military emphasizes its commitment to combating terrorism, asserting that responses to aggression against India will be decisive.
