Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu condemned the FIR against Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge as an effort to suppress the opposition's voice. Sukhu affirmed his party's refusal to be intimidated and expressed solidarity with Kharge.
The controversy erupted after the state unit of the BJP lodged a complaint claiming Kharge had labeled Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'terrorist.' This statement, made at a Chennai press conference, allegedly insulted the Indian populace.
The BJP argued that such remarks could incite division and chaos, urging decisive action against Kharge. The complaint was filed by BJP media co-incharge Vishwachakshu at the Dharamshala police station.
