Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday attacked the AAP's Rajya Sabha defectors to the BJP as 'gaddars' (traitors), accusing them of betraying Punjab. Addressing the press, Mann alleged BJP of trying to fracture AAP and destabilize a government that stands firm against corruption.
The Punjab CM further claimed BJP's efforts to weaken political rivals reveal its struggle to find a foothold in the region. Amid accusations of BJP attempting to poach leaders through hostility, Mann contended that the AAP's transformational progress in schools, hospitals, roads, and employment unsettles its opposition.
Mann denounced those facilitating defections, maintaining that the AAP draws strength from the people, not individuals. He underscored a resolute AAP against BJP's broader strategy to diminish regional strength and predicted that BJP's tactics would ultimately falter in Punjab, asserting the state's unwavering allegiance to AAP.
