Swapan Dasgupta, running as BJP's Rashbehari candidate, reported a wealth of assets in his recent affidavit. Known for his extensive collections, Dasgupta declared owning stamps and paintings valued respectively at Rs 10 lakh and Rs 50 lakh.

Among his disclosed assets are three vehicles and investments in stocks and mutual funds, amounting to over Rs 2.53 crore in movable assets. Additionally, Dasgupta's half share in a Chittaranjan Park property is valued at Rs five crore, according to his affidavit filed with the Election Commission.

Acredited journalist and former Rajya Sabha MP, Dasgupta holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy. He previously contested from the Tarakeswar constituency in 2021, declaring assets worth over Rs 1.99 crore.
