During the event, a man carrying weapons entered the lobby of the hotel, prompting a swift response from the Secret Service, who detained the individual before he could reach the ballroom.
Prime Minister Modi condemned the incident, stating that violence has no place in democracy and extended his best wishes for the continued safety of all involved. President Trump and other attendees, including Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, were evacuated safely.
