On Friday, RSP state secretary Shibu Baby John emphasized that the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) will only express its opinion on the Congress' chief ministerial candidate if their view is requested following the announcement of assembly election results on May 4.
He highlighted that any comment at this stage could be misinterpreted as favoring a particular leader. While acknowledging the potential for a UDF victory, John criticized the media for sparking debates over the chief ministerial candidate and stressed the importance of maintaining unity within the UDF alliance.
John noted that public sentiment seems to favor the UDF and emphasized the collaborative efforts under the 'Team UDF' approach led by V D Satheesan. Discussions on leadership roles within the alliance, he added, should wait until the election results are conclusive.
