President Donald Trump voiced dissatisfaction with Iran's latest proposal to de-escalate tensions between the countries during a press briefing on Friday. Speaking from the White House, Trump remarked, 'They want to make a deal, I'm not satisfied with it, so we'll see what happens.'
He did not provide details on what he finds lacking in Iran's proposal, but emphasized that negotiations are ongoing by phone. The discussions made headlines after Trump canceled a planned trip for his negotiators to Pakistan last week.
Pointing to issues within Iran's government, Trump described their leadership as 'disjointed.' He noted, 'It's a very disjointed leadership. They all want to make a deal, but they're all messed up.'
