A somber atmosphere enveloped Bihar's political arena following the untimely death of Congress leader Pravin Singh Kushwaha in a road mishap on Friday. The incident occurred on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway when Kushwaha’s car collided with a roadside pillar due to the driver allegedly falling asleep at the wheel.
The crash, which took place near Kannauj, resulted not only in Kushwaha's death but also left three others injured, including a critically harmed passenger. Kushwaha, who was the Congress president of Bhagalpur district, was en route from Delhi to Patna.
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, in an emotional address, extended sympathies to Kushwaha’s family while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi acknowledged Kushwaha's dedication to public service. The sentiment was echoed by several state Congress leaders, underscoring the gravity of his loss to the party.
