Peaceful Repoll Underway in West Bengal's Key Assembly Seats

In a bid to ensure fair electoral processes in West Bengal, repolling is being conducted in 15 booths across two assembly constituencies in South 24 Parganas district, with a recorded turnout of 37% by 11 am.

The Election Commission initiated this action following allegations of malpractices during the initial votes held on April 29. So far, the repolling has proceeded peacefully with no incidents of unrest reported, according to officials.

Adequate central forces are deployed across the affected constituencies, and webcasting is aiding in real-time monitoring. The final vote count for these constituencies will be tallied on May 4.
