The state's elections were held on April 9, and the results will be announced on May 4. Speaking to reporters amid ongoing discussions regarding the Congress's potential CM candidate, Sreekandan emphasized that the UDF's selection process is democratic and would be respected by all.
He expressed confidence in UDF's chances in Palakkad, predicting surprise victories in several traditional LDF strongholds due to the constituency's secular nature.
