As vote counting continues in Kerala following the April 9 Assembly elections, at least seven ministers are reported to be trailing, according to television reports. Ministers such as Veena George and M B Rajesh are among those falling behind in their respective constituencies.
The initial stages of vote counting show the Congress-UDF leading in close to 80 seats. Meanwhile, the CPI(M)-led LDF is leading in slightly more than 50 constituencies, marking a significant display of political competition in the state.
The BJP-headed NDA maintains a lead in approximately five Assembly constituencies. This development reflects the dynamic and competitive nature of the ongoing electoral process in Kerala as EVM votes begin to be tallied.
