Vijay's TVK Poised to Redefine Electoral Politics in Tamil Nadu
Vijay's political party, TVK, is creating a potential upset in Tamil Nadu's electoral history. Leading in 109 out of 234 Assembly constituencies, it may break the Dravidian parties' dominance. The party's unprecedented rise within two years of its founding signals a significant political shift in the state.

Actor-turned-politician Vijay is possibly on the brink of making history in Tamil Nadu's electoral politics. His party, TVK, is leading in 109 out of the state's 234 Assembly constituencies as vote counting continues from the April 23 elections.
The ruling DMK faces a significant challenge as Chief Minister M K Stalin trails TVK's VS Babu in the Kolathur segment. The Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin also lags behind TVK's D Selvam in Chepauk-Thiruvalikeni, according to the Election Commission's data.
If TVK crosses the crucial 118-seat majority mark, it will signify an unprecedented political shift, as no party has achieved such success just two years after its founding. This development could disrupt decades of DMK and AIADMK dominance in Tamil Nadu's political landscape.
