Padmaja Venugopal's Upset: A Political Journey in Thrissur
Padmaja Venugopal, despite her influential political lineage in Kerala, faced another defeat in the Thrissur Assembly constituency. She secured the third position in the 2023 elections, trailing behind CPI's Alankode Leelakrishnan and UDF's Rajan J Pallan. Her confidence, buoyed by BJP's growing influence, was not enough to secure victory.

Padmaja Venugopal's political aspirations took another hit as she was defeated in the Thrissur Assembly constituency for the third time.
The daughter of the influential K Karunakaran was hopeful for a victory thanks to BJP's growing support, but finished third in the race.
Venugopal, who ran as a BJP candidate this time, was confident due to the party's focus on ensuring candidate success. However, she was comprehensively outpaced by UDF and CPI candidates.
