BJP's Agnimitra Paul secured a decisive win in the Asansol Dakshin assembly constituency in West Bengal, defeating her opponent from TMC, Tapas Banerjee, by a significant margin of 40,839 votes. Paul garnered 1,19,582 votes while Banerjee accumulated 78,743 after 15 rounds of counting according to the Election Commission.

Agnimitra Paul, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has maintained her stronghold in the Asansol Dakshin assembly constituency.
According to recent results from the Election Commission, Paul defeated her nearest rival, Tapas Banerjee of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), by a margin of 40,839 votes.
Paul secured a total of 1,19,582 votes, while Banerjee managed to obtain 78,743 votes, ensuring BJP's continued influence in the region following 15 rounds of intense counting.
