The Congress-led UDF has marked a decisive victory in the Kerala Assembly elections, signaling widespread support encompassing diverse regions, castes, and religions, announced Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan on Monday.
Addressing a news conference, Satheesan credited the landslide win to Team UDF's unwavering secular approach. He noted that this electoral success heralds a 'new era' in Kerala, overcoming deep-seated misgovernance by the CPI(M), whose strongholds crumbled under the UDF wave, aided by substantial support from women, youth, and even some Left sympathizers.
Despite challenges from rival parties, the Congress coalition secured nearly 100 seats, promising reforms to bolster state finances and ensure efficient governance. Plans include a historical performance auditing mechanism to revamp administrative practices, fortifying the UDF's commitment to progressive change.
