The Communist Party of India (Marxist) acknowledged the recent assembly election results as a significant setback, particularly in Kerala, while expressing concern over the increasing influence of the BJP across various states.
Amid the results, CPI(M) General Secretary M A Baby highlighted the defeat of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala after a decade, attributing the loss to financial constraints imposed by the BJP-led central government and emphasizing the need for introspection.
The party also voiced concerns over the political landscape shift in Tamil Nadu and highlighted the need to address the broader implications of the BJP's ascendancy on national politics.
