Hooda Criticizes BJP's 11-Year Rule: No Development in Panchkula

As Panchkula prepares for its upcoming municipal elections on May 10, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda launched a tirade against the BJP, accusing them of neglecting development for the past 11 years. Speaking to reporters, Hooda highlighted the city's deteriorating infrastructure and rising crime rates, urging voters to rally behind Congress.

Hooda, confident of a Congress victory, tied the city's struggles to a larger anti-incumbency sentiment seen in other states, like West Bengal, suggesting an opportunity for change in Haryana. He met with Congress mayoral candidate Sudha Bhardwaj and councillor candidates, solidifying party unity ahead of the polls.

Criticizing the state's governance, the former Chief Minister promised to eliminate municipal corruption and transform Panchkula if the Congress wins. He condemned the triple-engine government model's failure and highlighted financial mismanagement in Faridabad, Panchkula, and Rohtak as pressing issues to address.
