At the Delhi Secretariat on Monday, plates of spicy jhalmudi and rasgullas took center stage during a celebratory gathering hosted by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her Cabinet colleagues. The informal event marked the BJP's landslide success in the West Bengal election results, with jhalmudi, a street food hailing from eastern India, playing a starring role alongside the sweet dessert.
Chief Minister Gupta, reflecting on the significant victory, expressed in a social media post that the triumph in West Bengal carries special importance. It highlights the people's endorsement of the BJP under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister remarked, "Every state in the country is turning saffron under the esteemed leadership of Modi."
Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood added that this triumph solidifies BJP's status as the only pan-India party, noting West Bengal as an essential region from various perspectives, including internal security. With the victory, Gupta asserted that citizens of West Bengal would finally experience the benefits of Modi's policies akin to Delhi, as the state had not fully implemented central schemes. This verdict, she emphasized, is not just a political win but a reflection of a shifting public sentiment favoring development and transparency.
