Sourav Sikdar's Stunning Victory in Dumdum Uttar
Chandrima Bhattacharya, a minister in West Bengal's TMC government, lost the Dumdum Uttar constituency election to BJP's Sourav Sikdar by 26,404 votes. Sikdar received 1,03,284 votes compared to Bhattacharya's 76,880. CPI(M)'s Dipsita Dhar came third with 38,428 votes in the North 24 Parganas district.

In a significant political development, West Bengal minister Chandrima Bhattacharya experienced a surprising defeat in the Dumdum Uttar constituency election, losing to the BJP's Sourav Sikdar by a margin of 26,404 votes.
Bhattacharya, who had been serving as the Minister of State for Urban Development, Municipal Affairs, and other departments in the outgoing TMC government, received 76,880 votes during the election.
Meanwhile, Sikdar garnered 1,03,284 votes, marking a significant victory for the BJP in the region. CPI(M)'s candidate, Dipsita Dhar, secured the third position with 38,428 votes.
