In a charged statement, Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal alleged foul play in West Bengal's recent election, claiming the defeat of the TMC was a result of manipulation by the Election Commission and central forces.
Joining the chorus, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reinforced the allegation, asserting that both Assam and West Bengal experienced manipulated polls, backing TMC leader Mamata Banerjee's claim that over 100 seats were unfairly taken by BJP.
As Banerjee deemed the BJP's sweeping win as unethical, she vowed resilience, declaring a comeback from her Bhabanipur constituency.
