Gaurav Gogoi, the president of the Assam Congress, took moral responsibility for the party's unprecedented loss in the assembly elections, in which they secured only 19 seats out of 126.
Despite his personal defeat in Jorhat, Gogoi committed to fighting for the people's rights and maintaining a resolute opposition stance against the ruling BJP.
Expressing gratitude towards supporters and party activists, he emphasized the need to analyze the election setback and return stronger, while congratulating opponents and promising constructive cooperation with the government.
