Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has embarked on a critical journey to Delhi, joined by party MLAs, to meet President Droupadi Murmu following the defection of seven Rajya Sabha MPs to the BJP.
The Aam Aadmi Party recently faced a setback as seven out of its ten Rajya Sabha MPs left, citing a deviation from the party's core values and principles. Six defectors were from Punjab, intensifying the situation for Mann's party in the state.
Mann, prioritizing Punjab's interests, plans to highlight the issue of the defection during a meeting with the President, pressing for the recall of these MPs. This move aims to protect Punjab's political rights and maintain the integrity of democratic values.
