Political Dynamics in Tamil Nadu: Vijay's TVK Struggles for Coalition Support

DMK leader T K S Elangovan has stated that actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamil Village Katchi (TVK) cannot secure governance in Tamil Nadu relying solely on Congress support. The Congress party, holding merely five seats, falls short of providing adequate backing for TVK.
TVK emerged as the single largest party in the recent assembly elections on April 23, acquiring 108 seats, while key rivals DMK and AIADMK obtained 59 and 47 seats, respectively. Elangovan highlighted the need for AIADMK's support to form a coalition government, expressing uncertainty about any instructions given by the BJP to AIADMK.
Regarding the DMK's electoral loss, Elangovan mentioned ongoing introspection within the party to identify causes. He accused the BJP of attempting to manipulate Tamil Nadu's political landscape, criticizing the party's lack of presence in the state legislature.
