In a significant political move, TVK chief Vijay paid respects to the party's ideological stalwarts on Tuesday, just a day after a sweeping electoral victory saw TVK secure 108 seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections held on April 23.
Vijay convened a meeting with newly elected legislators at the TVK headquarters, where he received an enthusiastic welcome from party members and MLAs making their electoral debut. The meeting focused on selecting a legislature party leader and deliberating on their conduct within the Assembly.
Despite being 10 seats short of the 118 needed for a majority, TVK leader Nanjil Sampath assured that strategies are underway to address the gap. Confident of a favorable resolution, Sampath forecasted positive developments for TVK's chances to form a stable government.
