Petrol Bomb Scare at Congress Candidate's Residence

A startling incident unfolded in Diphu, Assam, as unidentified individuals allegedly hurled petrol bombs at the residence of Congress candidate Raton Engti. Fortunately, the explosives failed to detonate, preventing any harm or damage.

The incident took place on Monday night when Engti, his family, and political supporters were inside the house. Remarkably, none of the six petrol bombs lobbed at Engti's home exploded, which meant that the family remained unaware of the attack until the next morning.

Upon discovering the devices, Engti immediately notified local police authorities, who quickly arrived at the scene to seize the unexploded bombs and begin a thorough investigation into the matter. The attack follows Engti's defeat in the recent election to BJP's Surjya Rongphar by over 17,000 votes.
