The Maharashtra cabinet yesterday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the BJP's extraordinary success in West Bengal and Assam's assembly elections. This commendation comes as the BJP achieved a decisive victory, ending Trinamool Congress's 15-year governance in West Bengal and securing a third term in Assam.
The Bihar results reflect BJP's political prowess, ruling with a majority of 207 seats in the West Bengal Assembly, surpassing the 294 seat total. Similarly, in Assam, the NDA maintained its control with 102 seats, marking a third consecutive term, including BJP's 82, while allies secured the remainder.
Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar was also acknowledged for her emphatic victory in the Baramati bypoll, indicative of her growing political clout and public support post her husband's tragic demise earlier this year. The cabinet also deliberated on the inadequate condition of tribal ashram schools, urging timely interventions.
