AIADMK MLA-elect Leemarose Martin disclosed on Tuesday that discussions are underway between the party's general secretary, Edappadi K Palaniswami, and actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) for forming a stable government.
Speaking to reporters in Lalgudi, Martin, who recently won a hotly contested race, emphasized the importance of these talks as TVK, despite its impressive performance in securing 108 out of 234 seats in its debut electoral contest, still needs the support of 12 additional members to claim a clear majority.
Martin noted that the negotiations include various parties in the state, such as Congress, with her son-in-law, Aadhav Arjuna, also playing a significant role after winning from Villivakkam in Chennai, highlighting the strategic alliances at play.
