Tensions Rise in Punjab: CM Accuses BJP of Inciting Blasts for Poll Gains

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday alleged that the BJP was responsible for two minor explosions in Jalandhar and Amritsar, orchestrated to provoke fear and sway voter sentiment ahead of the assembly elections.

Mann accused the BJP of attempting to replicate tactics used in West Bengal, where they allegedly fueled communal tensions to win electoral gains. He urged the party to abandon what he termed divisive strategies, asserting that the anti-sacrilege law would prevent potential religious conflicts.

Mann reiterated his commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring justice for those responsible for the blasts, promising swift accountability. He contended that Punjab's peace-loving populace stands united against efforts to destabilize the region.
