Political Tensions Flare Over Punjab Blasts

A political conflict has erupted following twin blasts in Punjab. On Wednesday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann accused the BJP of fear-mongering ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, labeling the incidents as 'minor' yet politically motivated precautions by the BJP. Mann alleged these actions are preparatory for the elections.

The BJP fired back, condemning Mann's remarks and asserting that preliminary investigations suggested potential involvement of Pakistan's ISI, as claimed by BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra. He emphasized the sensitive geopolitical landscape of Punjab and criticized Mann for allegedly making statements for political gain.

Meanwhile, the BJP's Shehzad Poonawalla pointed fingers at the AAP government's handling of security, accusing them of deteriorating law and order. Poonawalla claimed the AAP government was not effectively managing the safety and security in Punjab, alleging collusion with radicals and misuse of police for political purposes.
