AMMK chief T T V Dhinakaran on Friday denied that his party had extended support to Vijay-led TVK and said it continues to remain in the NDA. Dismissing reports in a section of the media that the party's lone MLA-designate, S Kamaraj, representing the Mannargudi Assembly constituency, had extended support to the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Dhinakaran said Kamaraj is currently staying at a resort in Puducherry along with the AIADMK's newly elected members. The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary said on 'X' that his party is firm in its stance of continuing in the National Democratic Alliance. Vijay-led TVK, which won 108 seats but fell 10 short of a majority, had earlier reached out to the CPI, CPI (M), and the VCK-DMK allies-seeking their support to form a government after winning its maiden Assembly election in Tamil Nadu, held on April 23. All three parties have two MLAs each in the 234-member House. The CPI and CPI (M) have extended support to Vijay, while the VCK will announce its decision on Saturday.
