Regarding various Left leaders, like G Sudhakaran, V Kunhikrishnan and T K Govindan, leaving the CPI(M) due to issues with the party leadership, he said that there have always been small problems in the organisation that members have left as a result. ''When they leave, a few of their supporters vote for them. Adding that with the Congress-League-BJP alliance results in them winning,'' he claimed, referring to the rebel Left leaders' victories in the 2026 Assembly polls. On whether there should be a change in party leadership following the LDF defeat, Hamza said that such claims were always there after a loss. He also said that these claims were not from within the party, as otherwise such recommendations would have been made before the election.
