Keralite political circles are abuzz as the decision on the next chief minister promises to incorporate not just the views of MLAs but also those of UDF partners and the public. Senior Congress leader K Muraleedharan highlighted this new approach during a recent television interview.
Muraleedharan emphasized that since the selection involves the UDF, partner views are crucial. The party's high command plans to hold extensive discussions to ensure a comprehensive decision. This marks a shift from past decisions which were primarily based on MLAs' opinions.
Congress leaders, including former KPCC presidents, are set to convene in Delhi. Senior leaders like Ramesh Chennithala, V D Satheesan, and K C Venugopal are among the main contenders, with a decision expected shortly after the Tuesday discussions.
