The AIADMK has announced its decision to oppose the confidence motion set for May 13, an assertion of solidarity led by its General Secretary, Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
Senior party figure Agri S S Krishnamurthy conveyed the directive during a press conference, emphasizing legal repercussions for any cross-voting occurrences, explicitly under the anti-defection law if needed.
Despite internal disputes, including a faction advocating for Velumani as the legislature party leader, 47 MLAs have reconfirmed their support for Palaniswami, dismissing dissenting narratives as mere slander.
