BJP leader Prakash Reddy intensified political tensions on Wednesday by urging the Samajwadi Party to act against its MP Ajendra Singh Lodhi over alleged derogatory comments targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reddy emphasized that without action, the public might perceive the party as endorsing such statements.
Addressing media agency ANI, Reddy criticized political entities for irresponsibly commenting on constitutional institutions and later distancing themselves from controversies. He stressed that only decisive action by the Samajwadi Party would reaffirm its stance against supporting derogatory political rhetoric.
On a related note, the NEET-UG exam cancellations due to paper leak suspicions have led to nationwide student protests. The Central Government plans to reconduct the exams, ensuring fairness. Meanwhile, an FIR against Lodhi has been lodged in UP, amidst vehement criticism from CM Yogi Adityanath, highlighting ideological divergences.
