Amid growing speculation in Kerala's political scene, Congress MP Benny Behanan on Wednesday addressed media reports related to queries from party workers about the next chief minister. He emphasized that these questions stemmed from natural curiosity rather than dissent.
Behanan explained that inquiries from party workers at a recent wedding venue were misinterpreted as protests. The MP clarified that he was neither obstructed nor stopped, as some media suggested, during what he described as a friendly conversation.
Citing vested interests behind the misrepresentation, Behanan reiterated that both he and the party workers await a decision from the Congress high command. The top contenders include Ramesh Chennithala, V D Satheesan, and K C Venugopal.
