Vyacheslav Gladkov, formerly the governor of Belgorod, and Alexander Bogomaz, from Bryansk, stepped down voluntarily. Their replacements, Alexander Shuvaev, a decorated veteran, and Yegor Kovalchuk, an expert in banking, legal and administrative matters, are now positioned as the new governors.
Photos of Putin's meeting with the new appointees were posted on the Kremlin's website. No details were released regarding the future roles of the outgoing governors.
